How do I transfer my records to your office?
If you are interested in becoming a patient and you have had dental x-rays taken elsewhere, especially within the last year, please email them to St. Peters: patients@scanlonfamilydental.com. If you would like your records and x-rays sent, your referring office will require YOU, the patient, to request them. We are happy to assist you with this process!
I have small children, when should I bring them in?

I saw Dr. Bridwell/Dr. Cavanaugh/Dr. Scanlon in the past... is this the same practice?
Yes! Dr. Cavanaugh retired from clinical dentistry in 2011, and Dr. Scanlon in 2020. Dr. Cory Glowczewski, Dr. Scanlon’s daughter, had the pleasure of working with both. She, along with our associate dentists, are now working to continue wonderful care and commitment to exceptional dentistry with an honest approach.
Is this the same practice and Dr. Robert Wheeler?
Yes! Dr. Wheeler selected Scanlon Family Dental as a merge partner to ensure his patients had an honest and caring home.
Office Policies
To make your visit as smooth and convenient as possible, all patient forms are completed electronically. Once your appointment is scheduled, you will receive a secure link by text or email that allows you to complete your forms at your convenience before your visit. If you prefer, we are always happy to assist you in the office using one of our tablets.
New patients will be asked to complete a set of six forms, which include:
- Demographic information
- Medical and dental history
- Insurance details
- Consent to our office policies (outlined below)

Dental Practice Financial and Appointment Policy
As consistent with applicable laws and the terms of your dental insurance or other dental plan coverage:
- Payment for services rendered will be due in full within 90 days of service.
- The insurance portion of the treatment plan is an estimate and not a guarantee of coverage.
- Your estimated portion will be due at the time of service.
- If your insurance carrier pays less than the anticipated amount, you will be responsible for the unpaid balance.
- You understand that you may be responsible for any unpaid balance for the procedures that are performed.
- If you miss your appointment or cancel within 24 hours (one business day), a $49 fee may apply. Missed Saturday appointments will be rescheduled on non-Saturday days only for up to one year, based on availability.
